 HR Systems Projects Director
Salary: $200K+bonus- Location: New York, NY Type: Full-Time

Description:
Description Global Investment banking firm needs a DIRECTOR to manage HR Systems & Projects Team. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of HR Transformation for the implementation of new HR initiatives. This includes:
  • Liaising with senior HR stakeholders to understand the business drivers and challenges.
  • Working with IT to develop a three and a five year implementation plan.
  • Leading a team of project managers, change managers, system analysts, process designers and training specialists.
  • Budget Management
  • Vendor Management The HRT Project Manager will also be responsible (depending on the project) for all aspects of transformation of People, Process and Technology. This role will manage / co-ordinate with process, communication, IT specialists, as well as the training team for several concurrent projects at a time.

Main Duties
1. Working with the HR Operations and HRIT Director in developing the three and five year plan.

2. Developing clear business solution alternatives based on technology options (SAP being considered the core system).

3. Working with the IT function, translating business needs into tactical and strategic systems plans.

4. Business case development, budget assessments, ROI.

5. For approved projects, development of the project plan and man-day estimates.

6. Project initiation, including the recruiting of temporary and contract resources to deliver the initiated project.

7. Life-cycle project management or managing selected Project Managers.

8. Co-ordination activities within the training and change teams.

9. Co-ordination of ‘business as usual activities’ working with IT and HR stakeholders.

10. Responsible for all aspects of HR Transformation for the implementation of new HR initiatives.

11. Leading a team of change managers, communication specialists, process designers and Training specialists.

 
Requirements:
 
BS/BA Degree; Financial and/or consulting industry experience preferred; ideally investment banking; Expertise in working with executive stakeholders. 15 years + experience of managing HR projects; working on at least 5 HR transformations in a program management role. Experience of managing global project teams. High level of interpersonal and communication skills; facilitating skills. Self motivated with excellent organizational & leadership skills; Ability to work in highly pressurized environment with tight deadlines; Ability to work at both strategic and tactical / operational levels ; Excellent interpersonal skills /strong executive presence who is also a Team Player; Organizational design skills
 
Qualifications:
 
Strong knowledge of HR process and HR technology landscape Experience of best practice HR process and HR service delivery models. Experience in working in a HR operational environment.
