 Operations Control Supervisor

Description Operations Control Supervisor position has become available for our client which is the world’s premier voice and electronic interdealer broker and the source of global market information and commentary for professionals in the international financial markets. The Group is active in the wholesale markets in interest rates, credit, commodities, foreign exchange and equity derivatives. The firm is looking for an individual who will supervise the Operations Control group and report directly to the manager of Operations Control.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a staff of 3-4 personnel which is responsible for the reconciliation of firm P&L and various operations reconciliations for various products with all clearing banks/organizations. 

  • Direct interaction with other groups including Middle Office, Finance, Operations and external Regulators. 

  • Creation of various MIS reports such as Risk Analysis, and Cash Analysis reports distributed globally.  

  • Supervise GL and Trial balance reconciliations and month end allocations/closing of SunGard. 

  • Work with business groups and IT support to produce functional documents utilized to enhance systems for new products and necessary changes. 

 
Requirements:
 
College degree in Accounting or related field. 7-10 years of experience in Broker/Dealer control, audit, reconciliation or related position. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in Control or related function. Basic Accounting skills required. Knowledge of financial regulatory rules required.
